(NEW YORK, NY-MARCH 5, 2018)-Forty One Madison is set to welcome attendees to The New York Tabletop Market®, Tuesday, April 10 - Friday, April 13, with the promise of an information-packed seminar program, an array of new products, and several renovated showrooms.
Industry veteran Warren Shoulberg, contributing editor to The Robin Report and to Progressive Business Media Home Furnishings publications, is headlining the Wednesday, April 11th annual breakfast seminar, serving as moderator for a discussion on Changing the Dinnerware Destiny, a look at how the tabletop market can reinvent itself for the future. Joining him on the panel are Joe Derochowski, home industry analyst for NPD, and designer and trend forecaster Patti Carpenter. The group will present results emerging from a recent consumer survey conducted by NPD in partnership with Forty One Madison that examines dinnerware buying trends and preferences among today's generation of shoppers.
"In commissioning this research, our aim was to help uncover the attitudes of consumers about dinnerware choices and purchases that can inform how our Forty One community of manufacturers and brands, retailers and buyers decide their business strategies," said Kristi Forbes, director of Forty One Madison. "We're proud to offer this seminar and, of course, to host a market week that will be abuzz with dozens of new products from the 120-plus brands represented here."

REVOL, the French heritage brand of "culinary porcelain" that's favored by leading chefs and restaurateurs from around the world, has taken a space on the 19th floor. "Showing our designs at Forty One Madison gives REVOL the opportunity to offer a creative space for chefs, buyers, interior designers and press to immerse themselves into our brand in one of our most important trade markets," said CEO Olivier Passot. "I am particularly proud to see REVOL USA participating in its first New York Tabletop Show as our family-owned company celebrates its 250th anniversary."
Ongoing and extensive renovations have yielded several gleaming new showrooms, plus there's been some shuffling of companies into these refurbished locations. On the 3rd floor changes are apparent at Riedel and also to the space now occupied by Bauscher-Hepp which has relocated to the floor. Alessi, which teased its arrival at Forty One Madison during the fall show, is now officially open for business on the 8th floor. A move to that floor also has brought a new look to Nikko. And on the 12th floor, The Jay Companies has undergone a sweeping transformation.
The building has upgraded its elevators to a destination dispatch system for greater efficiency. Visitors going to the same floors will be grouped to the same elevators to optimize travel. Forty One Madison ambassadors will be on hand to guide use. "This change will be a bit of an adjustment, but we trust that guests will appreciate the time-savings that comes with the new system," said Forbes, who also urged attendees to use the 41 Madison App or Directory to help navigate and plan showroom visitations.
